NEET UG 2026 Re-Exam: Pradhan Writes to CMs, LGs for Fair Exam Conduct

Considering the upcoming NEET UG re-test exam on June 21, Union Minister of Education Dharmendra Pradhan has written to all the Chief Ministers, Lieutenant Governors, and Administrators to extend their full support in conducting the examination smoothly and successfully.

The Ministry of Education verified the same through its official Twitter account, indicating how seriously the Central Government takes this process, which would be undertaken by more than 2.3 million candidates seeking admission to medical courses.

Pradhan Flags Heatwave Concerns

In his message, Minister Pradhan also took note of the severe heatwave conditions currently prevailing across large parts of the country and urged state governments and Union Territory administrations to ensure the availability of all necessary basic amenities at the examination centers.

This order is highly pertinent considering that the temperature in most of the states in India tends to be abnormally high in the month of June, rising well over 40–45 degrees centigrade.

Education Minister Reviews Re-Exam Preparations

Earlier, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan reviewed the preparations for the upcoming NEET-UG re-examination and directed officials to conduct it in a "secure, smooth, and error-free manner" under strict security protocols, officials stated.

Presiding over the review meeting, Pradhan emphasized that all shortcomings identified in the previous examination process must be comprehensively addressed to ensure absolute integrity and transparency in the conduct of the examination.

Officials reported, "The Minister emphasized that the NEET re-examination must be conducted in a secure, smooth, and error-free manner under strict security protocols."
