CAT 2024 Notification Out : IIM Calcutta to Begin Registration from August 1; Details Here

The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta has announced the CAT 2024. You can find the details in newspapers and on IIM Calcutta’s LinkedIn account.
CAT 2024 will be a computer-based test on November 24, held in three sessions. It will be available in about 170 cities across India. When you register, you can choose up to five preferred test cities. The list of cities might change based on CAT authorities' decisions.
Registration for CAT 2024 starts at 10 am on August 1 and ends at 3 pm on September 13. You can register on the official IIM CAT website — iimcat.ac.in. Make sure you have a valid email address and mobile phone number for the selection process.
After you register, IIM Calcutta will release admit cards between November 5 and 24. The CAT 2024 results are expected in the second week of January 2025.
The registration fee is Rs 1250 for SC, ST, and PwD candidates, and Rs 2500 for others. The fee is non-refundable and needs to be paid only once, no matter how many institutes you apply to.
Last year, the CAT exam was on November 26. A total of 3.28 lakh candidates registered, and about 2.88 lakh appeared for the exam.
CAT is required for admission to various postgraduate and doctorate programs at IIMs. Many non-IIM institutions also accept CAT scores, as listed on the CAT website. IIMs do not influence the selection process for non-IIM institutions. Last year, 91 non-IIM institutions used CAT scores for their management programs.
IIMs accepting CAT scores include IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Amritsar, IIM Bangalore, IIM Bodh Gaya, IIM Calcutta, IIM Indore, IIM Jammu, IIM Kashipur, IIM Kozhikode, IIM Lucknow, IIM Mumbai, IIM Nagpur, IIM Raipur, IIM Ranchi, IIM Rohtak, IIM Sambalpur, IIM Shillong, IIM Sirmaur, IIM Tiruchirappalli, IIM Udaipur, and IIM Visakhapatnam.
