CAT 2026 Fee Payment Deadline Extended Till September 24: Check Official Notice

The Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) have extended the CAT 2026 application fee payment deadline by two days. If you have completed the CAT 2026 registration procedure before 5 PM on September 22, 2026, then you will get an extra two days to pay your application fee till 5 PM on September 24, 2026.

This two-day extension will be available only for those candidates who have completed their registration form within the given deadline.

CAT 2026 Registration Deadline Remains Unchanged

There is no relaxation in the CAT 2026 registration date. The registration period ended on September 22, 2026, by 5 p.m.

Those students who were not able to register themselves till the due date cannot now apply for CAT 2026.

CAT 2026 Fee Payment Window Extended

Candidate registered in the program that have not yet paid for their fees can make use of this extra time to pay the application fee. The new timetable is as follows:

The candidates need to ensure that they pay the fees before the new deadline.

How to Pay CAT 2026 Application Fee Online?

Candidates who have completed their CAT 2026 registration before the deadline can follow the steps below to complete the fee payment process:

1. Visit the official CAT website at iimcat.ac.in.
2. Click on the CAT 2026 Login option.
3. Enter your registered User ID and Password to access the application dashboard.
4. Check the application status and proceed to the fee payment section.
5. Select the preferred payment method, such as:
   • Debit Card
   • Credit Card
   • Net Banking
   • UPI
6. Pay the required CAT 2026 application fee.
7. After successful payment, download and save the payment confirmation receipt for future reference.

Candidates should ensure that the payment status is updated successfully before the extended deadline of September 24, 2026, at 5 PM.

Important Notice for CAT 2026 Candidates

As per the instructions given on the official website of CAT 2026, candidates have been instructed to keep checking for any updates in regard to the exam. Any update that is published on the CAT website shall be based on the instructions and decisions made by the relevant authority and IIMs.
