CBSE 12 Supplementary 2026 Exam Day Guidelines: Reporting Time, Dress Code and Rules
The CBSE Class 12 supplementary exam will take place on July 28, 2026, organized by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
Approximately 1.63 lakh candidates have been put in the compartment list after CBSE Class 12 board exams. The board examinations were scheduled between February 17 and April 10, 2026.
With CBSE Class 12 supplementary exam, compartment list candidates get a chance to pass in the subjects they couldn’t pass in regular board examinations.
Candidates need to bring CBSE Class 12 supplementary hall ticket, valid photo ID card and necessary stationery items to the examination venue.
CBSE Class 12 Supplementary Exam 2026 Schedule
The CBSE class 12th supplementary examination will be taken for a number of subjects, some of which include English core, Hindi core, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Accountancy, Business Studies and Economics.
Other subjects include Political Science, Geography, Psychology, Sociology, Computer Science, History, Biotechnology, Entrepreneurship, Home Science, Applied Mathematics, and several other languages.
Examinations of most major subjects will be taken between 10:30 am and 1:30 pm.
Examinations of vocational subjects will start from 10:50 am to 1:30 pm. The list includes Food Production, Front Office Operations, Banking, Marketing, Health Care, Insurance, Fashion Studies and Business Administration.

Candidates should check the exact duration of their paper on the official CBSE datesheet and admit card.
CBSE Class 12 Supplementary Exam 2026 Guidelines
Candidates have to strictly abide by all the CBSE exam day guidelines at the examination center.
The candidates have to report to the examination center well in advance of the time specified in their admit card. Entry to the examination center after a particular time may be barred according to the guidelines of the board for the conduct of examinations.
Candidates should not bring with them their mobiles, smartwatches, Bluetooth devices, or any other electronic means of communication in the examination center.
The violation of the use of prohibited electronic devices is punishable as per the guidelines of CBSE for Unfair Means.
Candidates are expected to behave in a disciplined manner and act according to the directions of the invigilator during the entire duration of the exam.
The candidates will be given 15 extra minutes to go through the question paper before they start answering them.
CBSE Supplementary Exam 2026 Dress Code
There is no specific uniform prescribed by the Central Board of Secondary Education for the supplementary exam of Class 12. Students of regular classes are expected to wear their school uniforms as per the directions given by their respective schools.
For the private candidates, simple and comfortable clothes should be worn. Clothes or accessories carrying electronic gadgets or things which can slow down security checking process should not be carried by them.
It is advisable for the students not to carry any valuables like jewelry, bags, etc., to the examination venue.
