Section-Wise Breakdown The paper was divided into five sections, effectively testing everything from rote memorization to deep analytical thinking. Section A (MCQs) was generally seen as a "scoring zone," though a few questions on chronology required precise memory. Sections B and C (Short and Long answers) were strictly aligned with NCERT themes, though the 8-mark questions demanded well-structured arguments and significant writing time.

The "Tricky" Bits While the direct questions were manageable, Section D (Source-based questions) forced students to think outside the box. These excerpts required a high level of interpretation rather than just "finding the answer in the text." Additionally, many students felt the paper was lengthy, making it difficult to give the long-form answers the depth they deserved without rushing.

Map Work & Themes The map work was the silver lining for many, focusing on well-known sites of the Indian National Movement and Ancient kingdoms. Themes from Ancient and Modern India appeared to carry slightly more weight this year compared to Medieval History, though the overall distribution remained relatively fair.
