CBSE 12th Re-evaluation Result 2026 Out: Revised Marks Released for 87% of Re-checking Requests

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is announcing the CBSE 12th re-evaluation result 2026 in phases. Presently, the results for 87 percent of students have been announced. The CBSE 12th re-evaluation window opened on June 2 and ended on June 7. Further details regarding CBSE re-evaluation 2026 for class 12 have been stated below.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has started releasing the result of class 12 verification of marks and re-evaluation request. Till date, the results of more than 87 percent of the total applications have been declared on Sunday, July 21. The students who have applied for this post result service can check their results on the official DigiLocker results portal.

In its statement, the board informed that the board is releasing the results in phases and the remaining applications will be processed soon. The CBSE assured the students that each request was examined through a robust, transparent, and closely monitored system to maintain the integrity and impartiality of the evaluation process.

As per the CBSE, "each request was examined through a 'robust, transparent, and carefully monitored system'. Students are advised not to believe in rumors and unverified social media posts and rely on CBSE communications only."

This update has come some weeks after CBSE introduced its new post result system. In this system, students are provided scanned copies of their evaluated answer books and based on that they can decide if they wish to apply for the verification of marks or pointing out unevaluated answers or for the re-evaluation of particular response.

As per earlier figures from CBSE, students made a request for scanned copies of 11,31,961 answer books through 4,04,319 applications after the declaration of the Class 12 results. However, after scanning their evaluated answer scripts, only 3.8 lakh answer books were selected for verification and re-evaluation.

The CBSE further said that more than 1.6 lakh students made requests related to these 3.8 lakh answer books. This was done during the verification and re-evaluation window from June 2 to June 7. It can be seen here that even though there was interest in seeing the evaluated scripts, the number of those who decided for a formal evaluation is much lesser.

The CBSE has advised the students not to believe the rumors or unverified social media posts regarding the re-evaluation process. The students can check the application status at results.digilocker.gov.in. CBSE offices and help desks will further help the students in this regard.
