CBSE Class 12 Portal Open But Payment Stuck: Answer Sheet Glitch Hits Day 3
The web portal for service provision has been experiencing recurring problems for the last three days since the announcement of the CBSE Class 12 examination results. While the Board says that it is "fully functional," this could not be farther from the truth as payment errors, deductions twice, and absence of transaction receipts are troubling many students.
Problems started on May 19 when CBSE launched the application process for scanned evaluated sheets. Immediately, students experienced problems such as login issues and "Service Unavailable" error messages. Notices have been released by the Board multiple times while the application link was also temporarily removed for troubleshooting.
On May 20, the Board promised that the portal would be back online by 2:00 PM. However, even hours past that deadline, students were still unable to log in. Later that same evening, CBSE announced that the portal was operational again, noting that by 7:30 PM, 127,146 applications for 387,399 scanned answer sheets had been submitted.
Day 3 — Payments Not Reflecting
By the time Thursday arrived, students could finally log into the portal. The problem now changed to one of payments, with money deducted from their bank accounts but still showing “Payment Failed” in the portal, or asking students to pay again.
The students made their grievances known all across social media. "The payment of ₹400 has been deducted but the website still asks for money," said one student. Another student commented that "we have been facing this problem for three consecutive days. We are mentally stressed beyond our limits."
Extended Deadline and What's Next
Deadline for submitting applications for scanned copy extended by CBSE till May 23, 2026. The revised dates are as follows:
| Service | Dates |
|---|---|
| Scanned copies of answer sheets | Till May 23, 2026 |
| Verification and re-evaluation | May 26 to May 29, 2026 |
For students having trouble with payments, keep copies of your payment receipts and statements from the bank. It may so happen that even when the amount is debited, it may not show up.
