CBSE Class 12 Special Exams 2026: LOC Submission for West Asia Students Begins September 22

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has initiated the process for submission of List of Candidates (LOC) and examination forms for Class 12 Special Examinations 2026 for the students of West Asian nations.

Regular and private candidates eligible for special examinations will have the option to apply for LOC or examination forms from 22 to 26 September 2026. CBSE has further informed that there will be no examination fee for the eligible candidates.

These special examinations will be held for the students of Class 12 from Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. The special examinations are being organized since the regular Class 12 board examinations could not be held in these nations earlier due to the current situation.

Why Is CBSE Conducting Class 12 Special Exams 2026?

Assessment Scheme was introduced by CBSE on March 27, 2026, in order to announce the results for the students whose exams had been canceled in West Asian countries.

Results for the regular students were declared on May 13, 2026, along with the rest of the Class 12 students. Results for private students were also announced in accordance with the same Assessment Scheme.

Following the judgment in case No. CWP-815 of 2026 by the Supreme Court, CBSE conducted special examinations in 40 subjects for eligible Class 12 students.

Who Can Appear for CBSE Class 12 Special Exams 2026?

For regular candidates, students must:

• Belong to CBSE-affiliated schools in affected West Asian countries.

• Have their LOC submitted for the Main Examinations 2026.

• Have results declared under the Assessment Scheme.

For private candidates, students must:

• Have submitted examination forms for the Main Examinations 2026.

• Have results declared under the Assessment Scheme.

Eligible candidates can appear for subjects of their choice. The result of the special examination will be considered final and will replace their previous performance.

CBSE Special Exam 2026 Important Details

CBSE Special Exams to Be Held Only in West Asian Countries

The CBSE has informed that these special examinations would take place only in the concerned West Asian countries and the examination centers would remain same.

The students who have missed the Main Examination 2026 for any reason would not be eligible to write these special examinations.

It is important to note that no extension would be granted for submission of LOC or Examination Form. Candidates would need to follow the process within the stipulated deadline.

The date sheet for these special examinations would be issued by CBSE after completion of LOC submission process. The list of subjects and codes for special examinations has been listed out in the CBSE notice.

The schools from the concerned countries would have to inform the eligible class 12 students about the process.
