CBSE Exam 2025 New Update : CBSE Issues 'Parenting Calendar' Notice to Enhance Parent-School Communication

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has launched a new initiative for the 2025-26 academic sessiona parenting calendar aimed at improving communication between schools and parents.
The parenting calendar is part of CBSEs efforts to promote stronger parent-teacher interactions. It aims to support students across various age groups, including adolescents and children with special needs (CWSN).
It will also address behavioural changes, exam-related concerns, and other critical milestones through timely and structured communication.
CBSE hopes this framework will provide a more consistent and transparent approach to addressing student issues, allowing both parents and schools to intervene effectively when needed.
According to the official notice, the objectives of the committee are as follows:
- Facilitating effective parent-teacher interaction
- Supporting diverse student needs, including adolescents, children, students with special needs (CWSN), and early/middle-age groups
- Establishing a consistent communication framework to address critical milestones
- Providing timely support and intervention through structured engagement
The committee will be led by Anuradha Joshi, Principal of Sardar Patel Vidyalaya, Delhi. The committee consists of nine other members, including:
- Dr. Swati Popat Vats (President, Podar Education Network, Mumbai)
- Rekha Krishnan (Principal, Vasant Valley School, Delhi)
- Manju Arif (Principal, Delhi Public School, Bangalore North)
- Dr. Nivedita Ganguly (Principal, DAV International School, Ahmedabad)
- Minakshi Kushwaha (Principal, Birla Vidya Niketan, Delhi)
- Richa Agnihotri (Principal, Sanskriti School, Delhi)
- Annie Koshy (Principal, St. Mary’s School, Delhi)
- Dr. Paramjit Singh (Principal, Army Public School, Ambala Cantt, Ambala)
- Dr. Diganta Haldar (Principal, Sarala Birla Gyan Jyoti, Guwahati, Assam)
The members' responsibilities will include:
- Attending virtual or offline meetings as scheduled by the board
- Collaborating with the convener for coordinated action and decision-making
- Developing a comprehensive Parenting Calendar to address the stated objectives
According to the notice, the tentative deadline for the submission of the committee’s recommendations is March 15, 2025.
