CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship 2025: Last Date to Apply Extended to November 10

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has extended the last date to apply for the CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship 2025.

Candidates can now apply online on the official website cbse.gov.in till November 20, 2025.

Single girl children who have completed their 10th standard examination from CBSE affiliated schools in 2025 and are studying in Class 11 in CBSE affiliated schools can apply online as soon as possible.

This scholarship aims to reward meritorious single girl students who have passed the 10th standard board examination with 70% or more marks.

The board has also expanded the renewal portal for girl students who were awarded the CBSE Merit Scholarship Scheme for Single Girl Child in 2024.

Eligibility Guidelines for CBSE Scholarship

1. Single Girl Child: Applicant must be the only child of their parents.

2. Educational Qualification: Must have scored 60% or more marks in the Class 10 CBSE examination.

3. Academic Enrollment: Must be admitted to Class 11 in a CBSE-affiliated school.

4. Tuition Fee Limit: For domestic students, Class 10 tuition fees should not exceed ₹1,500 per month, with a maximum 10% annual increase for Classes 11 and 12. For NRI students, fees should not exceed ₹6,000 per month.

5. School Verification: Applications must be verified by the school for eligibility.

How to apply for CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship?

Candidates will need to follow the mentioned steps to apply online for the CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship this year: 

• Visit the website: cbse.gov.in.
• Go to the Scholarship Link. Then, click on ‘Single Girl Child Scholarship 2025-26.’
• Click on ‘Apply Online’ and register with the required details.
• Upload the necessary documents, such as: Self-declaration by the parent/guardian on non-judicial stamp paper (as per the CBSE format). Attach the first quarterly fee slip verified by the school principal
• Submit the SGC CBSE scholarship form online and ensure that the application is verified by the current school before the last date.

CBSE Scholarship Required Documents

• Class 10 Marks Statement: An official copy confirming academic results.
• Affidavit: A declaration confirming the student as a single girl child, attested by a First Class Judicial Magistrate, SDM, Executive Magistrate, or Notary.
• School Undertaking: A declaration by the Principal confirming the student's enrollment and tuition fee details.
• Aadhaar: Required to link the scholarship amount directly to the student's bank account.
•  Bank Details: Provide a bank passbook or canceled check.
• Fee Receipt: Official proof of tuition payment for the current academic year.
• Photograph: A recent passport-sized photograph of the student.

Students who have applied for the CBSE Single Girl Child Merit Scholarship Scheme 2025-26 can now track the progress of their application through the official CBSE portal.

• Visit the official CBSE website - cbse.gov.in.
• Navigate to the ‘Scholarship’ section and click on ‘Single Girl Child Scholarship 2025-26’.
• You will be directed to the application tracking page.
• Enter the following details exactly as mentioned on the CBSE Class X mark sheet:
• Roll Number
• Date of Birth (in DD/MM/YYYY format, e.g., 10/12/2008)
• Year of Passing Class X (Select 2025 from the drop-down)
• Click on the ‘Proceed’ button to view your current application status.
