CBSE LOC 2027: Check Late Fee Rules and Important Guidelines After Correction Window
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has launched the correction of the List of Candidates (LOC) 2026-27 for those appearing in the board exams for Classes 10 and 12. According to the notice issued on November 2, 2026, all the schools affiliated with the CBSE have to check the information provided and rectify the information that is permissible.
For the CBSE LOC correction process, students and parents cannot themselves change the information which has been entered. It can be done only through schools.
CBSE LOC 2027: What Is the Late Fee After the Regular Deadline?
CBSE has already made arrangements through which schools can submit candidate data in case they missed the deadline in the LOC submission process. Schools that submit candidate data during the late fee submission period need to pay ₹2,000 per candidate, along with the examination fees.
However, it needs to be noted that late submission is not the same as the LOC correction process. Late fees are charged for candidates whose data has not been submitted on time. This does not provide any opportunity to make corrections.
All corrections should be made within the allowed time frame.
What Happens After the CBSE LOC Correction Window Closes?
After the closure of the correction center, schools would have to adhere to the guidelines set by CBSE for the submitted LOC. Correction that is eligible must be made prior to the deadline date.
Students and their parents need to verify their information such as the name of the student, name of the parents, date of birth, and subject combination through the respective schools.
What Details Can Schools Correct in CBSE LOC 2027?
The correction center will be used to correct all the eligible mistakes in the information provided for the board examination in 2027. The school authorities need to ensure that the following information is correctly filled out:
- Name of the candidate: It is necessary to check whether the whole name has been provided without any unnecessary abbreviation.
- Parents' name: It is necessary to check whether the father's name or mother's or guardian's name has been spelled correctly.
- Date of birth: The date of birth should be consistent with the records of the candidate.
- Subject chosen for the examination: The subject chosen by the candidate should be right.
How to Check CBSE LOC 2027 Details?
The parents as well as the students need to get in touch with the respective schools in order to confirm the information given by them in the CBSE LOC. It is the duty of the schools to make necessary corrections in the CBSE LOC if any.
Parents should ensure to cross-check the information provided by the schools during the time of correction and if there is any problem, it should be brought to light.
As students themselves cannot modify their LOC information on the CBSE portal, it becomes imperative for them to communicate with the schools.
