CBSE Starts Month-Long Support Programme for Class 10, 12 Students in Ladakh

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has initiated a one-month long face-to-face academic support program for the students enrolled in Classes 10 & 12 in government schools of Ladakh.

As per the board, the academic support program has been initiated in 10 different locations in the Union Territory of Ladakh to assist the students in improving their knowledge in subjects and preparing themselves for the coming CBSE Board Exams.

The program will be organized in various locations such as Leh, Nubra (two centers), Shams, Zanskar, Kargil, Drass, Changthang, Sankoo, and Chiktan.

CBSE Support Programme for Board Exam Preparation

This program was initiated by CBSE to offer additional academic help to students in preparation for board examinations for Class 10th and Class 12th.

The program includes subject specific preparation, examination techniques, and essential skills needed for performing well in board exams.

Some of the subjects covered by this program for Class 10th students are:

• Mathematics
• Science

For Class 12th students, academic help is being offered in:

• Physics
• Chemistry
• Mathematics
• Economics

CBSE is conducting a month-long in-person academic support programme, commencing today, 14 September 2026, for students of Classes X and XII in Government schools across 10 locations in the UT of Ladakh: Leh, Nubra A, Nubra B, Shams, Zanskar, Kargil, Drass, Changthang, Sankoo and Chiktan. The programme focuses on subject-wise academic preparation, assessment strategies, examination techniques, time management and effective approaches to Board examinations. Class X: Mathematics & Science Class XII: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics & Economics Experienced teachers/resource persons from CBSE-affiliated schools across the country have been nominated to conduct the sessions. Key Features of CBSE Academic Support Programme

The program intends to assist students in different aspects of board exam preparation like:

• Subject wise academic preparation
• Methods of assessment
• Exam technique
• Time management skills
• Effective ways of appearing in board exams

According to CBSE, the program would assist the students in understanding important concepts and preparing themselves systematically prior to the exams.

Experienced Teachers to Conduct Sessions

The teachers chosen for the implementation of the program by CBSE are experienced teachers and resource people from various CBSE affiliated schools in India.

Such teachers will assist the students in their preparation for the subjects, examination techniques, and other factors necessary for performing well in the board exams.

This month-long program is going to help the students of government schools who live in far-flung areas of Ladakh in their preparation for the board examinations of Class 10 and Class 12.
