CBSE Supplementary Exam 2024: Important Guidelines for Practical Examinations Released from CBSE

CBSE Supplementary Exam 2024: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has published the Date Sheet for the Class 10th and 12th Supplementary Exams on their official website, cbse.gov.in. The CBSE Class 10 Supplementary Exam 2024 is scheduled from July 15 to July 22, 2024. The Class 12 Supplementary Exam will be held on a single day, July 15, 2024. Exam timings vary by subject, with some exams scheduled from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm, and others from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm.

CBSE Class 10th and 12th Supplementary Exam Dates

• Class 10 Supplementary Exams: 15th July 2024 to 22nd July 2024
• Class 12 Supplementary Exam: 15th July 2024 (one day only)

The exam times vary by subject, with some scheduled from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm and others from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm.

Practical Examinations

CBSE has issued guidelines for conducting practical exams alongside the supplementary exams. Practical exams are required for the following student categories:

1. Students who need to repeat a practical exam.
2. Students who need to repeat both theory and practical exams (RB).

Class XII Students

• Repeat in Practical (RP): Students only need to appear for the practical exam. Their previous theory marks will be carried over.
• Repeat in Both (RB): Students must appear for both theory and practical exams.

Class X Students

• A subject is considered passed if a student scores a total of 33 points, including Theory and Internal Assessment.
• Students absent from the Internal Assessment but placed in the Compartment category will receive pro-rata marks based on their supplementary exam theory marks. No new internal assessments will be conducted during this period.

Practical Exam Dates

• Dates: 5th July 2024 to 15th July 2024

Venues for Practical Exams

• Regular Candidates: Practical exams will be held at their respective schools.
• Private Candidates: Practical exams will be held at the same centers as their theory exams. If a center lacks practical facilities, the Regional Office will arrange a nearby location.

External Examiners

For Class XII, Regional Offices will appoint External Examiners. School or center superintendents will select internal examiners from their own staff.

Uploading Practical Marks

Marks from the practical exams must be uploaded by the schools or examination centers on the same day. Once uploaded, these marks are final and cannot be changed.

Student Instructions

• Students must contact their schools and examination centers by 5th July 2024, providing a copy of their admit card and result/mark sheet.
• They should note the day and time of their practical exams and arrive on time at the specified location.
