CHSE Odisha Plus Two Exams 2027: CCTV Surveillance and Live Streaming Mandatory; Check Details

CHSE Odisha Plus Two Exams 2027: CCTV Surveillance and Live Streaming Mandatory; Check Details

CHSE, Odisha has taken the decision to provide compulsory CCTV surveillance and live broadcasting in examination centers for the Plus Two examinations. This decision has been taken to improve security and control during the yearly Higher Secondary examinations.

As per this new policy, the CCTV cameras would be placed in the examination rooms and other places where the examination takes place. CHSE has also asked for information about the status of CCTV cameras and AI-based surveillance in the examination centers.

CHSE Odisha Plus Two Exams: CCTV and Live Streaming Rules

Notifications have been made by CHSE Odisha regarding the setting up of CCTV cameras for conducting the yearly Higher Secondary Examination. It is compulsory for the cameras placed in the examination halls and strong rooms to work during the examination days.

The live-streaming facility will help the officials supervise the activities of the examination from remote locations. It is hoped that the situation will improve the supervisory control of the examinations.

CCTV Surveillance in Other States

Odisha is not the only state that uses technology to monitor board exams. The state of Telangana has deployed real-time CCTV monitoring for its Intermediate exams, where CCTV feeds from exam centers were connected to the central command and control center. It has been reported that the technology covered around 1,495 centers.

The state of Uttar Pradesh has also used webcasting for its Class 10 and Class 12 board exams. According to reports, there were two CCTV cameras in each exam room in 8,033 centers with voice recording ability to enable authorities to monitor the process of exams remotely.

The state of Madhya Pradesh has also used live CCTV feeds for its board examinations 2026. As per reports, the state monitored 226 exam centers in nine districts.

CCTV Monitoring Does Not Always Mean Live Surveillance

It is worth noting that, whereas the use of closed circuit television (CCTV) does not necessarily mean that all the examination rooms will constantly be monitored through CCTV by examiners, some examination bodies actually install CCTV cameras for purposes of recording the whole process and then reviewing it later on. Others, on the other hand, actually link their CCTV cameras to control rooms where live viewing can take place.

CHSE Odisha Exam Security Arrangements

The CCTV and live streaming conditions form parts of the security protocol for CHSE Odisha examinations. The conditions can apply differently in examination rooms, strong rooms, paper holding rooms, and other places that participate in the conduct of the examinations.

The schools and examination centers should make sure that the mandatory CCTV systems function well and also comply with the conditions provided by CHSE Odisha. Students need to abide by the regulations and guidelines for the upcoming Plus Two examinations.
