The official exam date of Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2026 has been announced. The Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLUs) has informed that the CLAT 2026 exam will be held on December 7, 2025 (Sunday) from 2 pm to 4 pm. This exam will be taken in offline mode.
CLAT is a national level law entrance examination through which admission is given to UG (5-year LLB) and PG (LLM) courses in 22 National Law Universities (NLUs) of India.

CLAT 2026 Registration Process
The application process for CLAT 2026 will begin from August 1, 2025 and continue till October 31, 2025. Candidates can apply by visiting consortiumofnlus.ac.in.

- Verify account by OTP
- Login and enter personal information
- Fill academic details and exam center preference (maximum 3)
- Upload required documents
- Pay the fee online
- Submit and download the confirmation page
Eligibility for CLAT 2026

UG Program (LLB): Minimum 45% in Class 12 (40% for SC/ST)

The CLAT 2026 application fee varies based on category and whether you opt for previous years’ question papers:

CLAT scores are accepted by 24 NLUs, several private universities, and public sector organizations. Admission to integrated LLB (UG) and LLM (PG) courses is based on CLAT rank, seat availability, and category.
