CLAT 2027 Mock Test Dates: First Test on November 10, Second on November 20
The schedule of the two mock tests which have been conducted online by the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has been released. It is specifically meant for those applicants who have applied for the CLAT 2027 examination. So, whether you have applied for the UG program or PG program, you can now practise yourself with these mock tests way ahead of your final examination.
👉 CLAT 2027 Mock Test Dates : Official Notice

In an official notification on November 6, 2026, it was notified that the first mock test would be held on November 10, while the other one would be held ten days after that, which means on November 20. The Consortium has released these dates so that students preparing for the December examination can get sufficient time to practice.
However, it has also been made clear by the Consortium that these mock tests are purely meant for the purpose of self-practice. Participation in these mock tests is optional and hence you should not regard these questions as an example of CLAT 2027 question paper.
CLAT 2027 Mock Test Schedule and Format
The following is the timetable for the same as confirmed by the Consortium. The first mock test is scheduled for November 10, 2026, while the second one is for November 20, 2026. All the tests will be conducted in an online mode only. These tests are open to those who have registered for CLAT 2027 (UG/PG).
You can make use of these mock tests to evaluate your preparation status. In addition to this, you will get experience on how to manage your time during a period of two hours for 120 questions. Alongside this, you will also gain familiarity with the passage based question pattern.
CLAT 2027 Mock Test Marking Scheme
As per the notice, there is a simple marking scheme for both practice exams. For each correct response, you will receive +1 mark. However, for an incorrect answer, you will have a -0.25 mark penalty. For each question left unanswered, no mark will be deducted. This test comprises 120 questions and lasts for 120 minutes.
The Consortium recommends that you finish each mock test in one sitting without any breaks. This approach helps you simulate the pressure and time constraints of real exam conditions. Completing the full test in one go will also give you a more accurate picture of your readiness.
You'll still be able to move freely between sections and questions during the test. This means you can skip a difficult question and come back to it later before you hit submit.
Can You Retake the CLAT 2027 Mock Tests?
Yes, you can retake the mock tests. The notification confirms that you can attempt the sample tests as many times as you want. There's no cap on the number of attempts, so you can keep practising until you feel confident about your speed and accuracy.
Once you submit an attempt, you'll be able to review your score and overall performance right away. This feedback will help you spot weak areas and adjust your preparation strategy well before the actual exam day arrives.
Instructions for taking the test are also provided by the Consortium, which you need to follow on the test day. Ensure that you have an active internet connection before you begin the test. Read the passage carefully before answering the questions related to it. If two or more options appear to be correct, select the most appropriate and complete answer. Navigation can be done using the arrow buttons. Submission is to be done after completing the entire test.
The Consortium has made clear that it won't respond to queries about incorrect answers or other issues with the sample papers. You should treat the mock test results as a self-assessment tool and not expect any official clarifications on individual questions.
Do the Mock Tests Match the Actual CLAT 2027 Exam?
As per the Consortium, students are required to refrain from expecting the sample papers to be indicative of the pattern of the final exam. Students should understand that the sample papers are provided just for practice purposes and hence, the questions and contents of the sample papers won't be similar to those of the final exam paper.
In accordance with the notification issued by the Consortium, format, structure, level of difficulty, distribution of the number of questions per subject and subject itself in the sample papers provided would be indicative in nature. As the word "indicative" suggests, nothing about the mock tests would be considered as final or binding.
Students can't assume anything about the actual CLAT 2027 question paper from the mock tests. There aren't any guarantees that the final exam paper would have the same pattern, difficulty level, or distribution of questions per subject as the sample papers provided by the Consortium.
Sample papers should be considered solely for practice purposes. No candidate should attempt to guess the pattern or difficulty of the questions in the final exam using the mock test papers.
CLAT 2027 would be conducted on Sunday, December 6, 2026, from 2 pm to 4 pm. You have around a month after appearing for the online mock tests to prepare yourself for the exam keeping in mind the performance in the mock tests.
Contrary to the online mock tests, CLAT would be held in the offline mode and the questions would be attempted through the paper-pen method at a test center.
Every year, CLAT is conducted for admission into undergraduate and postgraduate law courses offered by the National Law Universities participating in the Consortium of NLUs.
