The registration process for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2026 has started from 1 August 2025. Interested candidates for CLAT 2026 can apply till 31 October 2025. The application can only be made in online mode consortiumofnlus.ac.in.

The Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLUS) have announced the exam date and registration schedule. This examination is conducted for admission to LLB (UG) and LLM courses in 22 National Law Universities (NLUS) across the country.
CLAT 2026 Exam will be held on Sunday, 7 December 2025 from 2 pm to 4 pm in offline mode.
CLAT Eligibility for 2026
To apply in UG course (5-year-old LLB), the candidate must have passed 12th or appear in the 12th examination in the 2025-26 session. General, OBC, PWD, NRI category candidates need minimum 45% marks, while SC and ST classes are 40% marks mandatory. At the same time, for the application in PG Course (LLM), the candidate should have LLB degree or in the final year. 50% for general and OBC category and 45% for SC/ST are mandatory.
CLAT 2026 application fee
Talking about the application fee of CLAT 2026, the fee for general, OBC, PWD, NRI, PIO and OCI category is ₹ 4000 (without question paper) and ₹ 4500 (including question paper). At the same time, ₹ 3500 (without question paper) and ₹ 4000 (including question paper) will have to be given for SC, ST and BPL category.

- Click on "Register" and enter the name, mobile number and email
- Verify email through OTP
- Fill in personal and educational information, choose the priority of three examination centers
- Upload all the necessary documents
- Pay application fee
- Submit the form and download the confirmation page
CLAT 2026: Required documents
At the time of CLAT application, these documents have to be uploaded in the scan format:
- Class 10th and 12th marksheet
- Identity card (base/pan/driving license)
- Caste certificate (if applied)
- Divyang Certificate or BPL Certificate (if applied)
- State residence certificate (if applied)
