The results of the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT 2026) for both undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) entrance examinations, conducted by the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs), will be declared around December 17, officials have confirmed to the media.
The CLAT UG and CLAT PG 2026 entrance examinations for admission to LLB and LLM programs at 25 National Law Universities and other participating law colleges were held on December 7 across 156 examination centers in 25 states, 93 cities, and four Union Territories.
This year, 92,344 candidates registered for the exam, a 17% increase compared to previous years. The overall attendance for CLAT UG was 96.83%, while 92.45% of registered candidates appeared for CLAT PG.

CLAT 2026 Answer Key and Objection Window
The Consortium released the provisional CLAT answer key three days after the exam. Candidates were given a chance to challenge any answer by paying Rs 500 per question. The objection window closed on December 12.

When Will CLAT 2026 Results Be Declared?
Officials said, "The CLAT 2026 results are likely to be declared around December 17, 2025."
Both UG and PG results will be declared on the same day. To check their scores, candidates need to visit the official website, consortiumofnlus.ac.in. They'll have to enter their registered mobile number and password to access the results.
After the result declaration, the Consortium will conduct multiple counselling rounds based on CLAT scores.
What's a Good CLAT 2026 Score for Top NLUs?
The CLAT 2026 exam had 120 multiple-choice questions. Each question carries 1 mark, and 0.25 marks are deducted for every wrong answer.
According to the CLAT exam paper analysis, a score above 90 is considered good for securing admission to top NLUs. Last year, Saksham Gautam topped the exam with 103.5 marks and secured All India Rank (AIR) 1.
