The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has released the provisional seat allotment list for Round 1 of CLAT UG counselling 2025 on 26 May 2025. The list is important for UG law aspirants who are seeking admission to leading NLUs across the country. It is an important stage in the admission process.

Candidates who have registered for CLAT UG counselling 2025 can now check their provisional seat allotment status on the official website. Also, the consortium has opened the options window for candidates to choose the "Freeze", "Float" or "Exit" option, allowing them to decide their admission preferences.

Students are required to confirm the allotted seat and deposit the confirmation fee of ₹20,000 by 30 May 2025, 1:00 pm. Failure to take action by the prescribed deadline will disqualify the candidate not only from the current counselling round but also from all future rounds.

The Consortium of NLUs released the CLAT UG 2025 Round 1 Provisional Seat Allotment List on May 26. Registered candidates can check their allotment status on the official website: consortiumofnlus.ac.in.

How to Check CLAT UG Seat Allotment:

Visit the official CLAT website
Go to the ‘Notifications’ section
Click on the “Round 1 Provisional Allotment List” link
Select the NLU you applied for
Download the PDF and check your allotment status

Important Dates:

Round 1 Allotment List Release: May 26, 2025
Confirmation Fee Payment Window: May 26 (10:00 AM) to May 30 (1:00 PM)
Round 2 Allotment List Release: June 4, 2025
Last Date to Pay University Fee: June 14, 2025

Post-Allotment Options:

Freeze: Accept the allotted seat and proceed with admission
Float: Retain the current seat but remain open for higher preference
Exit: Reject the seat and exit the counselling process

Note: Candidates must pay the ₹20,000 confirmation fee by May 30 (1:00 PM) to retain their seat. Failure to do so will lead to disqualification from current and further counselling rounds.
