The Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) is starting the application process for the Undergraduate Entrance Test (UGET) 2026 today at 2 pm. Students who want admission to engineering programmes at COMEDK member colleges can register on the official website, comedk.org.

The entire application process is online. Students need to register, fill in their personal and academic details, upload required documents, pay the application fee, and submit the form. Registration will stay open until March 16, 2026.

Officials have urged candidates to complete their applications early to avoid any last-minute technical issues.

COMEDK UGET 2026 Registration: Documents Required

Before filling out the COMEDK UGET 2026 application form, candidates should keep these documents ready for a smooth registration:

– Recent passport-size photograph (in the prescribed format) – Scanned signature of the candidate – Class 10 marksheet or certificate (for date of birth verification) – Class 12 or equivalent academic details – Valid photo identity proof – Active email ID and mobile number

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have passed or be appearing for the Class 12 or equivalent exam. Physics and Mathematics are mandatory subjects, along with Chemistry or another approved subject.

– General category candidates: Minimum 45% aggregate – Reserved category candidates of Karnataka: Minimum 40% aggregate – No domicile or age restrictions: Students from anywhere in India can apply

Exam Date

COMEDK usually conducts its entrance exam on the second Sunday of May every year. This year, COMEDK UGET 2026 will be held on May 9.

The computer-based test will take place at multiple centres across the country. This allows candidates to appear at a centre near their home, saving travel costs and reducing logistical hassles.

Exam Pattern

Based on previous years, COMEDK UGET will be a three-hour exam with 180 questions worth one mark each. The paper will have three sections — Maths, Physics, and Chemistry. The exam pattern differs for engineering and medical courses.

COMEDK UGET 2026 scores will be used for admissions to over 150 private engineering colleges in Karnataka affiliated with the Karnataka Unaided Private Engineering Colleges Association (KUPECA). After the entrance test, COMEDK will release the score and rank list. This will be followed by centralised counselling through a single-window system.
