Today on February 4, 2022, it is likely that the DDMA may take a decision regarding reopening of schools in Delhi. It is expected that the meeting will be held today in order to review the COVID-19 situation in the capital.

The DDMA meeting is expected to be held after 10 AM today and an official announcement can be expected by 2 PM.

In the previous meeting of the District Disaster Management Authority, they have taken the decision to give some relaxation to the weekend curfew and businesses and offices were allowed to return for the work from the office. However, this time we are expecting that the senior classes students can be allowed to resume their offline mode of study by following the COVID rules and guidelines in school.

According to various media reports, DDMA is likely to take the decision to open schools for students from Class 9th to 12th from 7th - Feb - 2022.

Earlier, Delhi's Deputy CM and Education Minister Manish Sisodia said, A generation will be left behind if schools are not opened. It was said by him while reacting to the protest held by students and parents at the Delhi Secretariat and ITO against the opening of schools. Taking to Twitter the Deputy Chief Minister informed that more than 1600 parents have handed over the signed memorandum to him and he also agrees with it.
