GATE 2022 Registration Ends On Sept 24: Know The list of Documents Required to Apply

Eligibility Criteria For GATE 2022

Candidates who want to apply for the GATE 2022 should be currently studying in the 3rd or higher years of any UG programme. Those students who have already completed any engineering, technology, architecture, Science, Commerce, or arts government approved programme can also apply for the GATE 2022 Exam.

Required Documents For GATE 2022

To apply for the GATE 2022 candidates are required to complete the registration process. Here is the list of documents that are required to submit while applying for the GATE 2022

• Applicant's name
• Date of birth (DOB)
• Valid mobile number (Number should be Active/Working)
• Email ID (An active email Id)
• Parents’ name
• Educational degrees in scanned format (File size and Dimensions should be as asked)
• Scanned current photograph (File size and Dimensions should be as mentioned)
• Scanned signature of the applicant 
• Scanned copy which has one valid photo ID document like aadhar card or PAN card
• Caste certificate (Only if you are applicable)
• PwD certificate (Only if you are applicable)

Simple Steps to Register For GATE 2022

1. Visit the official GATE 2022 website that is, gate.iitkgp.ac.in.
2. Click on the “GATE 2022 registration” link available on the homepage.
3. Enter the login details as asked.
4. OTP (One time password) will be sent to the registered email id, Use that OTP to complete the GATE 2022 registration process.
5. Now, Log into the GATE 2022 application form portal and fill in all the required details as mentioned.
6. Uploading all the necessary documents.

In the last step, make the payment of the GATE application form 2022 in online mode. Finally, you are done with the registration process. 

After that your responsibility is to grab your GATE Study Materials and start preparing for the GATE 2022.

The GATE examination is conducted once a year at the national level in Pan India. It will be held for 3 hours in CBT (Computer Based Test) mode. Candidates must go through the exam pattern (Refer Previous Year Papers), eligibility criteria, and syllabus before filling the GATE 2022 application form. This test is taken to make students eligible to get admission in master's degree programs. Candidates who fall under the general category need to pay a total of Rs 1500 as an application fee. IIT Kharagpur is the conducting body for GATE 2022 Exam.
