GATE 2027 Application Correction Window Opens October 14: Check Editable Fields & Fees

IIT Madras has closed the GATE 2027 registration process and will now open the GATE 2027 application form correction window. As per the schedule, the correction facility will be available from October 14 to October 21, 2026.

Candidates who have successfully submitted their GATE 2027 application form can use the GATE application correction link on the official website, gate2027.iitm.ac.in. They can log in to their account and make changes to the details allowed during the correction period.

How to Edit GATE 2027 Application Form

Candidates can make changes to their GATE exam form 2027 by following these steps:

1. Visit the official GATE 2027 website, gate2027.iitm.ac.in.
2. Click on the candidate login option.
3. Enter your enrolment ID and password.
4. Open the application dashboard.
5. Select the details that you want to modify.
6. Make the required changes and pay the applicable correction fee.
7. Submit the corrected application form.
8. Download and save the confirmation PDF for future reference.

What Can Be Edited During GATE 2027 Application Correction?

IIT Madras allows candidates to make changes to certain details during the GATE form correction process. These include:

• Date of birth
• Gender
• PwD status
• Category
• Parent/guardian details
• Correspondence address
• College information
• Examination centre

What Cannot Be Edited During GATE 2027 Application Correction?

Candidates generally cannot change the uploaded photograph and signature during the GATE 2027 application correction process. However, these details can be addressed if they are flagged by the authorities during application scrutiny.

GATE 2027 Application Form Correction Fees

Candidates have to pay a correction fee for certain changes made to the GATE 2027 application form. The fee details mentioned in the schedule are given below:

• The correction fee for changes in name, date of birth, examination city, existing paper, gender and category is ₹500.
• Changing female to any other gender, SC/ST to another category, or PwD/Dyslexic to Non-PwD/Dyslexic requires a fee of ₹500 plus ₹1,000, making the total correction fee ₹1,500.

Candidates can pay the GATE 2027 application form correction fee through Net Banking, Credit Card, Debit Card or UPI. The correction fee is non-refundable.

Once the GATE 2027 correction window closes on October 21, candidates won't get another opportunity to make changes to their application form. Therefore, candidates should review all the details carefully and complete the correction process within the given deadline.
