The Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, is poised to initiate the registration process for GATE 2024, commencing today on August 24, 2023, in accordance with the predetermined timeline. Eligible candidates interested in applying for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) will gain access to the submission platform at gate2024.iisc.ac.in.

In adherence to the schedule, registrations are set to conclude on September 29, 2023, with the possibility of an extension until October 13, 2023.

Applicants currently enrolled in their 3rd year or beyond of an undergraduate degree program, or those who have successfully completed a government-approved degree program in Engineering, Technology, Science, Architecture, or Humanities, are eligible to apply. The GATE 2024 Examinations, organized by IISc Bengaluru, are scheduled for February 3, 4, 10, and 11, 2023. Each exam will be conducted in two sessions, from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM and 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM. It's important to note that the institute has yet to unveil the complete list of subjects that will be featured on the respective exam dates.

According to the website's guidelines, candidates have the option to appear for either one or a maximum of two test papers. The specific two-paper combination can be verified on the online platform.

The medium of instruction for the paper is English. Each paper carries a total of 100 marks, with General Aptitude (GA), applicable to all papers, accounting for 15 marks. The remaining 85 marks pertain to the syllabus specific to each paper.

It's essential for candidates to take note that during the application process, they should complete ONLY ONE application. If there is a desire to sit for a second paper, the respective paper can be added to the original application.
