GATE 2024 Registration Without Late Fees Extended Until October 12
The Indian Institute of Science Bengaluru has decided to extend the registration deadline for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2024. The GATE 2024 registration deadline without any late fee has now been extended to October 12, 2023.
If you haven't applied for GATE 2024 yet, you can still do so by visiting the official website at gate2024.iisc.ac.in. However, please note that a late fee of Rs 500 will be applicable for registrations made after October 12.
The GATE 2024 examination is scheduled to take place on February 3, 4, 10, and 11. According to the provided schedule, GATE 2024 admit cards will be issued starting from January 3.

GATE 2024: How to Regsiter
Candidates can follow the easy steps given below to register for GATE 2024 exam.
- Go to the official GATE 2024 website, gate2024.isc.ac.in
- On the homepage, locate and click on the "Login" link.
- Choose "Register here" for new registrations.
- Enter the required information and proceed to the application form.
- Upload all necessary details and documents within the application form.
- Complete the application fee payment
- Download and take take a printout of the same for further references.
For candidates falling under the general or unreserved category, the application fee amounts to Rs 1,800 during the regular period and Rs 2,300 during the extended period. On the other hand, SC, ST, and PwD candidates are required to pay Rs 900 for the regular period and Rs 1,400 for the extended period.
When it comes to payment methods, students have the flexibility to use various options, including credit cards, debit cards, net banking, EMI, wallets, or UPI for paying the registration fee. Interestingly, a significant 78 percent of candidates opted to utilize the UPI payment method, as indicated in a Twitter post.
