IIM Ahmedabad has wrapped up the placement process for its one-year MBA (PGPX) program for the class of 2024. By the end of June 2024, 121 students from this program had received job offers from various industries and locations.

According to the final report, 105 different companies offered jobs to these students. This report follows Indian Placement Reporting Standards (IPRS) and was reviewed by an external agency. It was completed in August 2024. IIM Ahmedabad has been one of the first schools in India to provide audited placement reports since 2011.

The placements included a mix of old and new companies, showing strong interest in the PGPX program. Consulting roles, including management and tech jobs, were the most common. Other sectors such as IT services, BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance), and healthcare also hired students. Consulting firms hired 35% of the graduates, while IT services took 18%, BFSI 11%, and healthcare 10%.

Professor Viswanath Pingali, Chairperson of the Placement Committee, said, “Even with challenging economic conditions, the 2024 PGPX placements have been impressive. These results show that companies still value our program.”

PGPX graduates are landing leadership and senior roles with companies both in India and abroad. They are taking positions like Chief Product Officer, Vice President, Associate Director, Associate Vice President, Program Head, Product Head, and Consultant. This year, both large companies and start-ups, including unicorns and those on their way to becoming unicorns, hired students.
