The big day is almost here! Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras will conduct JEE Advanced 2024 in two shifts on May 26, 2024. It is an important examination for students seeking admission into the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).

Dress Code for JEE Advanced 2024

Following the dress code is essential for a smooth entry into the exam hall. Here’s what you need to know:

Simple and Comfortable Clothing: Wear light and comfortable clothes. Avoid anything with elaborate designs or patterns.

No Accessories: Leave any jewelry or accessories at home. Watches, bracelets, and any other wearable technology are not allowed.

Footwear: Choose simple sandals or slippers. Avoid shoes, as you might be asked to remove them before entering the exam hall.

No Full Sleeves: Wear half-sleeve shirts or t-shirts. Full sleeves are not permitted.

No Layers: Avoid wearing jackets or multiple layers of clothing. If it’s chilly, wear a single warm layer.

JEE Advanced 2024 Exam Day Guidelines

To ensure a hassle-free experience, follow these guidelines on the day of your JEE Advanced exam:

Reach Early: Arrive at the exam center at least an hour before the reporting time to complete the security checks without any rush.

Admit Card: Carry a printed copy of your JEE Advanced admit card. This is your entry pass to the exam hall.

Identification Proof: Bring a valid photo ID proof such as Aadhaar Card, Passport, Voter ID, or Driving License.

Stationery: Only bring basic stationery like a ballpoint pen. All other necessary items like pencils, erasers, and a geometry box will be provided at the exam center.

No Electronics: Leave your mobile phones, calculators, and any other electronic devices at home. They are strictly prohibited.

Health Safety: Wear a mask and carry a small bottle of hand sanitizer, following COVID-19 safety protocols.

Documents to Carry in Exam Hall

Make sure you have these essential documents on exam day:

Admit Card: A printed copy is mandatory.

Photo ID Proof: A government-issued ID to verify your identity.

Passport Size Photograph: Carry two recent passport-size photographs, similar to the one used in your application form.

Self-Declaration Form: If required, bring a filled and signed self-declaration form regarding COVID-19 symptoms or travel history.

Checklist of Banned Items

Electronic Gadgets: Items such as mobile phones, calculators, smartwatches, and any other electronic devices are strictly prohibited. Leave them at home to avoid any penalties.

Books and Notes: Do not bring any study materials, textbooks, or notes to the examination hall. Only carry the permitted stationery mentioned in the guidelines.

Bags and Purses: Large bags, purses, or backpacks are not allowed inside the exam center. Carry only the necessary items in a clear plastic bag if needed.

Food Items: Avoid bringing snacks or any food items to the test center. However, a small snack like a chocolate bar for a quick energy boost during the break may be allowed.

Watches with Communication Capabilities: While a wristwatch is allowed, it should not have any communication features. Smartwatches with internet connectivity are strictly prohibited.
