JEE Main 2024 Result: Record Cut-Off Rise of 2.45%; 100% Marks for Two Girls

The National Testing Agency (NTA) just announced the JEE Main 2024 session 2 results. Check your score now if you took the April session.
In 2024, a whopping 9.24 lakh candidates registered for the exams. Out of them, 8.2 lakh students appeared for the JEE Main 2023 exams in January and April.
JEE Main 2024 Record High 100 Percentiles
This year witnessed a surge in 100 percentilers, with 56 candidates achieving a perfect NTA score in Paper 1 (BE/BTech). Among them, two outstanding girls, Sanvi Jain from Karnataka and Shayna Sinha from Delhi, made their mark. This number has grown from 43 in 2023, with only one girl, Ridhi Kamlesh Kumar Maheshwari from Karnataka, achieving the feat.
In the January session, 23 candidates reached the 100 percentile mark. Telangana leads with seven students, followed closely by Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, and Rajasthan, each boasting three 100 percentile holders. Other states like Delhi, Haryana, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, and Karnataka also produced top performers.

Telangana Tops Again Like last year
Telangana stands out with the highest number of 100 percentilers. In 2023, 11 students from Telangana scored perfect 100 percentiles, which increased to 15 this year. Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh follow closely, each with 7 students achieving this feat.

Exam Registrations
Exam Registrations A total of 924,636 candidates registered for both January and April sessions, with 822,899 appearing in both. January 2024 saw 1,221,624 registrations, and April 2024 had 1,179,569 registrations.
In total, 1,476,557 unique candidates registered for both sessions, with 1,415,110 appearing for the exams.
JEE Cut-off Highlights
Cut-off Highlights For general category candidates, the JEE (Advanced) cut-off is 93.23, up from 90.77 in 2023. Cut-offs for SC and ST candidates also saw significant increases. SC cut-off rose to 60.09 from 51.97, and ST cut-off increased to 46.69 from 37.23 in 2023.
