In response to a scheduling conflict between the second session of JEE Main 2024 and the CBSE class 12 board exam, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has undertaken modifications to the engineering entrance exam dates. The CBSE had initially released the class 10 and 12 board exam schedule on December 12, 2023, with subsequent adjustments. Conversely, NTA had announced the JEE Main schedule in September of the preceding year. A detailed examination of both schedules revealed an overlap in the dates of these crucial examinations.
JEE Main 2024 Session 1 is set to commence on January 24 and conclude on February 1. However, the CBSE 12th examinations are scheduled to start on February 15, with the last exam slated for April 2, focusing on subjects like Informatics Practice, Computer Science, and Information Technology, occurring between 10:30 am to 1:30 pm. In light of this, the second session of JEE Main was initially scheduled between April 1 to April 15.
