JEE Main 2025 Result Likely Tomorrow: NTA to Declare Scores Soon – Check Expected Cutoff and Download Steps

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will likely declare the Joint Entrance Examination Main (JEE Main) session 2 result by April 17. Candidates who appeared for JEE Main Paper 1 (BE, BTech) can check the result on the official website jeemain.nta.nic.in.
This year, the NTA conducted the JEE Main session 2 exam for Paper 1 (BE, BTech) on April 2, 3, 4, 7 and 8, while Paper 2 (BArch and BPlan) was held on April 9. The information brochure mentions the result date but not the time. In the January session, the result was released in the evening. In previous years, JEE Main results were uploaded late at night.
NTA has already released the JEE Main 2025 provisional answer key on April 11 and candidates who are not satisfied with the provisional answer key of JEE Main 2025 Session 2 Paper 1 (BE, BTech) can challenge the JEE Main answer key 2025 till April 13.
Last year, JEE Main Session 2 results were declared on April 24, 2024, while in 2023, JEE Main Paper 1 result was declared on April 29, 2023. Candidates should note that the result will be compiled based on the final answer key released on the NTA website.
Candidates who rank among the top 2.5 lakh performers in JEE Main 2025 will be eligible to appear for the JEE Advanced 2025 exam. Candidates taking the engineering entrance exam this year can expect an increase in the JEE Main cut-off. Apart from clearing the JEE Main cut-off 2025, students must also qualify in their Class 12 board exams, which is usually 75 per cent for general and OBC and 65 per cent for SC, ST, and PWD categories.
JEE Main Result 2025 Session 2 : Expected cut-off
According to IIT Alumnus, the JEE Main cut-off for qualifying to sit in JEE Advanced 2025 will be based on aspects such as the difficulty level of the exam, number of aspirants, and overall performance. Going by recent trends, the general category cutoff is expected to be between the 93 to 95 percentile, which is approximately equivalent to about 85–90 marks out of 300. For OBC-NCL and EWS candidates, the cutoff is likely to be a bit lower, about 91 to 93 percentile, with scores around 80–85 marks.

According to Mohit Tyagi of Competishun, the JEE main cut-off to become eligible for JEE Advanced for the general category candidates will see an increase. According to Tyagi, the cut-off for general category candidate will be up from 90.7788642 last year to 92.19 this year. For OBC-NCL, he expects the cut-off to be 77.67.

In the January session JEE Main 2025 exam, a total of 13,11,544 candidates had registered for Paper 1 (BE/BTech) across various categories and genders. Among these, there were 4,43,622 women candidates, including 1,67,790 from the general category, 45,627 from EWS, 42,704 from SC, 13,833 from ST and 1,73,668 from OBC.

- Visit the JEE Main official website - jeemain.nta.nic.in.
- Click on the JEE Main Result Login NTA link on the homepage.
- Enter your JEE Main Application Number, password/date of birth and security pin.
- Click on the submit button, and the JEE Main Session 2 Result 2025 will be displayed on the screen.
- Download and print your JEE Main 2025 result for future reference.
