The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the JEE Mains 2024 result for Session 2, revealing the scores of 8.2 lakh students who took the exam. In a historic first, 56 candidates, including 2 females, achieved a perfect 100 NTA score. To check their scores, all JEE Mains 2024 exam takers can visit the official website jeemain.nta.ac.in.

The qualifying percentile for JEE (Advanced), the entrance test for 23 Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), hit a five-year peak. In January, 23 candidates scored a perfect 100 NTA, while 33 achieved the same in April.
Among the 56 top scorers, 40 were from the General category, 10 from Other Backward Class (OBC), and 6 from General-EWS. No SC or ST candidate reached the 100 NTA mark this year.

Compared to 2023, the count of 100 percentilers has risen by 13, with a total of 56 students attaining flawless NTA scores in Paper 1 (BE/B.Tech). Among them, two are girls: Sanvi Jain from Karnataka and Shayna Sinha from Delhi. The remaining 54 are male candidates.

NTA also revealed the list of top scorers in JEE Mains 2024. Notable among them are Chintu Satish Kumar from Andhra Pradesh, Dattaraj Balkrishna Saudagar from Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Tanay Jha from Delhi, Parekh Meet Vikrambhai from Gujarat, and Sushant Padha from Jammu and Kashmir.
Telangana stands out with 15 candidates among the top scorers for the third year running, followed by Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh, each with seven candidates. Delhi has six candidates in the top 100. The exam, which saw 96% of candidates qualifying for JEE (Advanced), assessed undergraduates for engineering and architecture programs in centrally funded technical institutions.
Conducted in 13 languages across 571 centers in 319 cities, including 22 outside India, the exam's qualifying percentile for JEE (Advanced) soared to a five-year high across all categories. General category minimum cut-off rose to 93.2 this year from 90.7 in 2023 and 88.4 in 2022. Similarly, the General-EWS cut-off increased to 81.3 from 75.6 last year and 63.1 in 2022.
For OBC, the qualifying percentile increased from 68 to 79.6 in 2022 and 73.6 in 2023. SC and ST categories saw significant jumps, with the SC percentile rising from 51.9 to 60 in 2023, and 46.6 for ST from 37.2 in 2023.
Registration for JEE (Advanced) starts on April 27, with candidates vying for approximately 17,385 undergraduate seats in the IITs.
