If a candidate withdraws validly, the remaining amount will be refunded after deducting ₹ 7,000 processing fee.
In JoSAA counseling, candidates are also given options like float and slide. Float means that the candidate accepts the currently allotted seat, but he also wants to be considered for a higher preference program or college in the next round. At the same time, slide means that the candidate will be eligible in the next round for a higher preference course in the same institute. Both these options are useful for students who want to keep their options open and are looking for a better opportunity.
JoSAA 2025 counselling is now moving towards its final stages. Candidates must complete all the required steps on time. Be it accepting a seat, reporting or withdrawing – every step needs to be completed on time. By going ahead with the right information and planning, students can get admission in their preferred college and course.
