KCET 2025 Results Likely After May 21, Final Data Yet to Be Submitted

The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) is likely to release the KCET 2025 results sometime after May 21. The delay? KEA’s still waiting on final score data. This includes the “Best of Two” marks from Karnataka’s PUC Exam 2, which came out on May 16, and also results from the Kerala Board for students under the Gadinadu category.

So, what’s holding it up?

KEA is still sorting through updated academic scores that were submitted after PUC 2 Exam 2. The “Best of Two” is a major ranking factor for KCET, and some students are still turning that in.

Also, over 2,000 Gadinadu students from Kerala are taking KCET this year. These students come from Kannada-speaking border regions in states like Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Maharashtra. They qualify for certain reservation benefits under the Gadinadu Kannadiga quota. But for KEA to complete their rankings, it still needs the Kerala board marks.

Until these results are verified and added, KEA can’t publish the final merit list or begin counselling.

KCET 2025 Kannada Language Test

Earlier, KEA declared the Kannada Language Test results on April 25, 2025. The list of qualified candidates is available on the official site.

What happens after the results?

Once declared, KEA will release the merit list along with course-wise and category-wise cut-off ranks. These ranks will set the minimum scores needed to get into specific undergraduate programs in Karnataka colleges. The KCET 2025 counselling process is expected to begin sometime in June 2025.
