KCET 2026 Round 2 Seat Allotment Delayed; Result Expected After Aug 20 - Check Full Details

KCET 2026 Round 2 provisional seat allotment result schedule has been modified by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA). Earlier the schedule had stated that the result would be released on 19th August 2026; however, due to some reasons, the process of allotment is postponed.

The candidates are now advised to expect the KCET Round 2 seat allotment result after 20th August 2026. The KEA has not announced the exact date of result release yet.

Why was the KCET 2026 Round 2 Allotment Date Delayed?

KCET 2026 Round 2 Seat Allotment Schedule has undergone some changes since the students have been provided additional time for changing their options based on the mock seat allotment of KCET 2026 Round 2 that has been released on August 17, 2026.

The procedure of KCET Round 2 seat allotment is as follows:

• Mock Allotment: KEA has allotted the seats based on the choice of candidates till August 13 and released the mock allotment on August 17.
• Modification of Options: Based on the mock allotment and cut-off marks of seats, candidates can make the necessary changes in their college/course preferences.
• Seat Allotment: KEA will then do the final seat allotment process after modification period.
• The candidates are advised to cross-check their preferences prior to the submission of the final list.

KCET 2026 Round 2 Option Entry Last Date

The last date for updating the KCET 2026 Round 2 options is 20th August 2026 at 9:00 AM.

Within this time, aspirants are allowed to add colleges, make changes in the order of the preference list, and even drop unwanted options.

As the option entry portal remains open till 20th August in the morning, the provisional KCET 2026 Round 2 seat allotment result would be available only after completion of the option modification process.

Aspirants are advised to download and view their preference list after the completion of the option entry process. The KCET 2026 Round 2 seat allotment result date is likely to be announced by KEA after the processing of the final choice.
