The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has officially declared the Maharashtra HSC Result 2026 today, May 2, 2026. Board Chairman Trigun Kulkarni announced the result at a press conference in Pune. Students who appeared for the Class 12 exams can now check their scorecards on the official websites using their roll number and other login details.

This year, the overall pass percentage stands at 89.79%. A total of 14,44,713 students had registered for the exam, and 14,33,058 of them appeared. Out of these, 12,86,843 students cleared the exam successfully. Last year, the pass percentage was higher at 91.88%, showing a slight dip this year.

The Konkan division has emerged as the top-performing region with a pass percentage of 94.14%. On the other hand, the Latur division recorded the lowest performance, with only 84.14% of students clearing the exam.

Out of a total of 153 subjects in which Maharashtra board Class 12 students appeared this year, 26 subjects have recorded a 100% pass rate. This shows strong performance in several specialised subjects across streams.

The state board introduced a GPS-enabled digital lock system this year to ensure the secure transportation of examination papers. This step has helped maintain transparency and prevent paper leaks during the exam process.

Maharashtra HSC Result 2026: Unified Marksheet from This Year

From this year onwards, the marksheet and certificate will be combined into a single document. The new A4-sized marksheet will feature the student's photograph for the first time, along with a unique QR code for instant verification through the state board's official app.

The unified marksheet will be distributed to students via their respective junior colleges within 15 days of the result declaration.
