MCC NEET UG Counselling 2026: 30 New Seats Added in Round 2 Seat Matrix

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has added 30 new MBBS seats to the NEET UG 2026 Round 2 seat matrix. Candidates appearing in the ongoing AIQ counselling can go through the seat matrix and accordingly change their college preferences.

The new seats added in the MCC NEET UG 2026 Round 2 are in three medical colleges in Karnataka and Bihar. All 30 new seats are added under the All India Quota.

Furthermore, MCC has also informed that the NEET UG 2026 Round 2 reset option window would close on 7th September 2026 at 5 pm. Candidates who wish to reset their registration information or make any changes are supposed to do that before the last date.

Round 2 Choice filling process has been restarted by MCC after including new seats in the counselling seat matrix.

MCC NEET UG 2026 Round 2 Counselling: 30 New MBBS Seats Added

MCC has increased the total number of MBBS seats to 30 for NEET UG Round 2 counselling 2026 seat matrix. These seats are provided at three medical colleges situated in Karnataka and Bihar.

Bagalkote Medical College & Research Institute has been allotted 15 more MBBS seats. Government Medical College, Chapra, Saran has been allotted seven MBBS seats, and Shri Ram Janki Medical College & Hospital, Samastipur has been allotted eight MBBS seats.

All these seats are available under the All India Quota (AIQ). Candidates taking part in Round 2 counselling should review the revised seat matrix carefully before finalising their choices.

MCC NEET UG 2026 Round 2 Reset Window Closes Today

According to the latest update of MCC, NEET UG 2026 Round 2 reset option would remain open until 5 PM of 7th September 2026.

The candidate can use the facility of resetting to make required changes before finalizing the choice filling process for Round 2. Candidates using the option of resetting need to finish the process before the deadline since the MCC may not accept any request once the time limit for the choice filling process is expired.

NEET UG 2026 Round 2 choice filling and choice locking process would remain active till 9th September 2026. The candidate should consider the newly added seats and prepare for the choice filling process of NEET UG 2026 round 2 carefully.

According to the counselling schedule, the NEET UG 2026 Round 2 seat allotment result would be announced on 11th September 2026. The candidate can find the seat allotment status through the MCC counselling portal after announcing the result.
