MCC NEET UG Counselling 2026: Round 1 Seat Resignation Window Opens for Freeze Candidates

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has made available the facility of resignation and withdrawal of seats for the NEET UG Counselling 2026, Round 1. This facility is available for those candidates who have opted for the FREEZE facility and taken the seat allotted to them in Round 1.

According to the notification by the MCC, the facility to resign from the Round 1 seat is available from 2:00 PM, 31st August 2026 to 1:00 PM, 2nd September 2026 for eligible candidates. Those candidates who wish to withdraw from their seat have to do so physically at the allotted institute.

It is evident from the information provided by MCC that all resignations filed during the stipulated time limit would be considered without any deduction from the security deposit paid.

Moreover, candidates should also make sure that their resignation or withdrawal slip for the allotted seat comes out of the MCC website via the nodal officer of the allotted college. In case of incorrect generation of the resignation slip, the resignation might not be considered valid.

In case a candidate wants to resign from his/her Round 1 allotted seat, then he/she should do that before the deadline.
