The National Testing Agency (NTA) releases the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test or NEET-UG 2023 cutoff percentile along with the information brochure at neet.nta.nic.in. As per the latest update, the NEET UG 2023 cut-off for general category candidates is the 50th percentile. While for SC/ST/OBC and general-PH aspirants, the NEET qualifying percentile is the 40th and 45th percentile, respectively. Previously, the NEET cutoff passing marks for the general category are 715-117, while for SC/ST/OBC it was 116-93.

According to Saurabh Kumar, who holds the position of Chief Academic Officer at Vidyamandir Classes, the expected cut-off for the general category this year is approximately 710-124. However, for OBC/SC/ST candidates, it is expected to be 132-98. Aspirants must note that the data of NEET 2023 expected cutoff is provided below on the basis of question paper analysis and previous year trends. Meanwhile, Sarvesh Chaubey, Deputy Regional Director at Aakash BYJU’S Live is expecting a slightly higher NEET cut-off. “Based on the analysis of last five years, we expect the general category NEET cut off to be around 716-120. For OBC, SC and ST candidates, it may vary around 119-95. Candidates should note that the actual cut-off may vary each year as a result of a number of variables, such as the number of applications, test takers, exam difficulty, changes in the number of seats available in preferred colleges, etc,” Chaubey stated.
Last year, NEET cut-off marks for the general category was 715-117 marks, for SC / ST / OBC category it was 116-93 marks, for the general-PwD category it was 116-105 marks, and for SC / ST / OBC-PwD it was 104-93 marks.

To qualify for the NEET exam, aspirants need to secure the pass percentile and NEET 2023 cut off marks, as specified by NTA. How Many Marks Are Required to Qualify NEET UG 2023 Exam?
The NEET Cutoff marks required to clear the NEET UG Exam vary every year depending on a lot of factors. The expected required marks that are essential to clear the NEET UG Exam 2023 is 360 (50% of 720) for general category candidates and 324 (45% of 720) for the reserved and PwD categories of candidates.
According to the guidelines provided by the NTA, the NEET UG 2023 exam marking scheme is as follows: for every correct answer, candidates will be awarded +4 marks; and for each incorrect answer, candidates will be deducted -1 mark. So, in order to calculate the expected score, students need to subtract the number of correct answers from the number of incorrect answers and multiply it by one.
