The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has extended the last date for seat resignation for NEET UG counselling 2025 round 1. Now candidates can resign from their allotted seat till 3rd September 2025 at 5:00 PM, that too without forfeiting the security deposit.

This decision has brought relief to those students who have already reported to the allotted college but do not want to continue with the further process due to some reason.

NEET UG 2025 Counselling: Key Points about Resignation

New last date for resignation: 3 September 2025 (5:00 PM)
Security amount: Will not be forfeited if resigned by this date
Candidates with college reporting: If you have reported to the seat, you can still resign by the deadline
Candidates without allotment: Those who have not got any seat need not report to the college

NEET UG 2025 Counselling: Required documents

Candidates need to submit the following documents for the counselling process:

NEET UG 2025 Admit Card and Scorecard
Class 10 and 12 mark sheets and certificates
Birth Certificate (if Class 10 certificate does not have DOB)
Category Certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD – if applicable)
Domicile Certificate (for State Quota seats)
Passport size photographs (same as uploaded in the NEET form Migration Certificate (if applicable)
Medical Fitness Certificate

New facility for Divyangjan candidates

As per the guidelines of NMC, MCC has included more medical colleges as designated centers for issuing disability certificates.

Divyangjan candidates can visit these new centers and get the certificates made.
The Divyangjan Portal for Round 2 of NEET UG 2025 counseling will remain open till 9 September 2025 at 12:00 noon.

Pay attention to the deadline so that the security deposit is not forfeited.
