The counseling process for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG) 2025 is being conducted by the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC).
Recently, the MCC clarified that there have been no changes to the NEET UG 2025 counseling Round 2 seat allocation results.
The seat allocation list for the second round was released on September 18, 2025, and will now be considered final.
The counseling authority has released the revised schedule and the provisional list for the NRI quota on mcc.nic.in. This round added 1,134 new MBBS and BDS seats, while 7,088 virtual vacant seats remained vacant, leaving a total of 13,501 seats vacant across MBBS, BDS, and BSc Nursing programs.
According to the final allocation list, 2,420 candidates were upgraded, while those with top scores retained their seats. A total of 31,877 candidates received admission to government and private medical colleges in this round, and 419 seats were allocated in the NRI Priority 1 and 2 categories.
NEET UG 2025 Counseling Process
The counseling process for admission to undergraduate medical and dental courses is as follows:
- Registration and fee payment.
- Choice filling and locking.
- Seat allocation.
- Reporting to the allotted college.
- Reallocation of vacant seats.
Documents Required for NEET UG 2025 Counseling
Candidates must submit certain required documents at the time of registration and reporting, including:
- NEET 2025 Admit Card and Scorecard
- Class 10 and 12 Marksheets and Certificates
- Identity Card (Aadhaar/PAN/Passport/Driving License)
- Eight Passport-Size Photographs
- Allotment Letter
- Caste Certificate (if applicable)
- Disability Certificate (if applicable)
