The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the cancellation of the NEET UG 2026 examination, which was scheduled to be conducted on May 3. With the approval of the Government of India, the NTA has decided to cancel the NEET (UG) 2026 examination, originally scheduled for May 3, 2026, and to reconduct it on dates to be notified separately.

This announcement comes just days after allegations surfaced regarding a paper leak in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (Undergraduate)—NEET (UG) 2026 examination. The NTA made this announcement through its official 'X' account.

"In continuation of its press release dated May 10, 2026, the National Testing Agency (NTA) wishes to inform candidates, parents, and the general public regarding the following decisions taken in connection with NEET (UG) 2026.

On May 8, 2026—in alignment with its commitment to the fair, secure, and reliable conduct of national examinations—the NTA had referred the matters under scrutiny to central agencies for independent verification and necessary action," the NTA tweeted.

According to this notice, NEET (UG) 2026 held on 3 May 2026 has been cancelled.
