NEET UG 2026: NTA Extends Deadline to Update Bank Account Details for Fee Refund

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the last date of confirming, correcting, and updating of bank account details of the NEET UG 2026 exam fee refund. Candidates eligible for the refund will get the last chance to change bank details till 11:50 pm of July 7, 2026. The facility is provided at the official NEET UG website neet.nta.nic.in.

This extension is made in order to ensure that each eligible candidate receives the refund without any difficulties. The process is being done after the cancellation of the NEET UG 2026 examination held on May 3, 2026.

Initially, candidates were instructed to provide the necessary bank account details through which the exam fee refund amount would be credited directly into their bank account. In some cases, many candidates made the request to change the wrong bank details such as IFSC code, bank account number, or other information.

As per the requests of the candidates, NTA reopens the process for changing and updating bank account details on June 25, 2026. This extension gives one more and last chance to the candidates to make sure that their bank account details are correct before the start of the refund process.

In order to update the bank account details, candidates have to go to the official website NEET UG 2026 using their application number and password. After logging in, candidates have to verify themselves by completing the OTP based two factor authentication process.

On completion of the verification process, candidates will be able to open the link of confirming bank account details from the dashboard. Here candidates have to verify and submit the bank account details in which account holder's name, bank account number, bank name, IFSC code, etc., have to be checked.

In case, it is needed candidates have to submit the scanned copy of their cancelled cheque or bank passbook.

How to Update NEET UG 2026 Bank Account Details

• Go to the official website of NEET UG 2026, which is neet.nta.nic.in.
• Login using your application number and password.
• Proceed to the second step of verification through OTP two-factor authentication.
• Click on the option of Bank Account Details Confirmation / Updation from the dashboard.
• Verify the bank account details that have been already provided by you.
• Change the bank account holder name, bank account number, bank name, and IFSC Code, where ever necessary.
• Upload scanned copy of cancelled cheque or first page of bank passbook as applicable.
• After completing the process, download the confirmation page of the details.

It is suggested that candidates must perform this task before the deadline since incorrect bank details might delay the NEET UG 2026 refund process.
