NEET UG 2026 Refund Status: NTA Enables Bank Account Correction Amid Server Delays

National Testing Agency (NTA) has enabled bank account correction facilities for candidates applying for NEET UG 2026 examination. NTA has made this provision so that students can verify or correct their bank account details for exam fee refund.

Candidates can get to the NEET UG 2026 refund verification link available on the NTA’s official site, which is http://neet.nta.nic.in/. Login into this site by entering your application number and password.

NTA requested applicants to verify their bank accounts in order to download the re-NEET UG 2026 admit card. According to NTA, verifying bank accounts will be essential in making sure that the refund goes to the right bank account.

The verification process is protected through OTP-based two-factor authentication. Candidates will receive an OTP on their registered mobile number. After successful verification, they can check or update their beneficiary name, bank account number, bank name, and IFSC code.

Candidates can also upload a scanned copy of a cancelled cheque or the first page of their bank passbook. This is an optional step for refund verification.

The correction window was opened after NTA found errors in some bank account details submitted by candidates. Many students also requested a chance to correct their information.

Soon after the admit card link was released, several candidates reported server issues and technical glitches. Some students said they were unable to access the refund verification page or download their admit cards due to heavy traffic on the website.

NTA said its technical teams were working to fix the issue. The agency also said that lakhs of candidates had already downloaded their admit cards.

The NEET UG 2026 re-examination will be held on June 21. Candidates are advised to complete the bank account verification and download their admit cards as early as possible to avoid last-minute problems.
