NEET UG Counselling 2023: MCC Reopens Round 1 Reporting Portal Until Tomorrow

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has introduced a 'one-time measure' by reopening the reporting portal for the first round of NEET UG Counselling 2023. This portal will remain accessible until 3 pm tomorrow, August 9. The decision to reopen the portal was made in response to requests from certain colleges that opted for offline admissions of allotted candidates.

Colleges that haven't completed the online admission process and furnished the details of admitted candidates have the opportunity to finalize the process by the specified deadline. Simultaneously, the registration for the second round of counselling is set to commence from tomorrow.

MCC, which operates under DGHS, acknowledged having received appeals from colleges that, despite the verification timeline provided on August 5th and 6th, 2023, chose to perform 'Offline' admissions for Round-1 of UG Counselling 2023. In the best interests of the candidates, MCC has decided to temporarily reopen the Reporting portal for Round-1.

It's important to note that this extension is granted as a one-time exception, and no further extensions will be given. MCC advised colleges and institutes to strictly adhere to the established timeline and schedules. "Requests for further extensions will not be considered by MCC. It is imperative for colleges/institutes to strictly abide by the stipulated timelines," the committee emphasized.

In the NEET UG Counselling 2023 schedule, the seat allotment result for round 1 was announced on July 29. Candidates were permitted to report to their respective colleges from July 31 to August 4. During August 5 and 6, colleges could verify the data of the admitted candidates and share it with MCC.
