The National Testing Agency (NTA) is anticipated to kick off the registration process for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) soon. The registration link for NEET UG is expected to go live in February 2024, although the exact date has not been officially announced. With an estimated 18 lakh candidates set to participate in NEET UG 2024, aspirants can find information on past trends, a tentative schedule, exam date, and other details here.
In the previous year, the registration commenced on March 6, allowing candidates to apply until April 6, 2023. Responding to a high demand from students who initially missed the NEET Exam application window, registrations were reopened. NEET aspirants were granted an additional opportunity to apply online from April 11 to April 13, 2023. Once the registration process commences, candidates will be able to apply on the official website - neet.nta.nic.in.
NEET UG 2024, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), is scheduled for Sunday, May 5, 2024, in Pen and Paper mode, available in 13 languages. The exam will be conducted in English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu. It's essential to note that there is no upper age limit for the NEET UG Exam. However, candidates must have completed their 12th grade with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (PCB) as main subjects and should be at least 17 years old.
NEET UG qualifies candidates for admission to undergraduate courses in various disciplines, including BAMS, BUMS, and BSMS courses of the Indian System of Medicine in all Medical Institutions governed under this Act. NEET (UG) is also applicable for admission to BHMS courses as per the National Commission for Homeopathy Act, 2020.
