Who can apply for NEET UG Round 2 counselling?
If you didn't get a seat in Round 1, you can take part in Round 2 under the MCC counselling rules.
You can also move to Round 2 if you got a seat in Round 1 and chose "Float". Float means you're ready to upgrade to a better seat. If you chose "Freeze", you'll keep your Round 1 seat, and you won't be considered for an upgrade.
Round 1 candidates who want an upgrade must complete the online process and submit the documents MCC asks for. Under the new 2026 system, Float candidates don't have to visit the allotted college for document verification. The institute verifies their documents online.
