Online registration for the National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) 2026 has begun today, January 5, 2026. The NEST 2026 exam will be conducted on June 6, 2026. This entrance test is for admission to the five-year integrated MSc program offered by NISER Bhubaneswar and UM-DAE CEBS Mumbai. The last date to apply for NEST 2026 is April 6, 2026.

NEST 2026: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria to apply for NEST 2026:
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed Class 12 or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology as subjects. Students appearing in Class 12 final exams in 2026 are also eligible to apply.
Minimum Marks: Candidates must have secured at least 60% marks in aggregate in Class 12 (50% for SC/ST/PwD categories).
Age Limit: Candidates born on or after August 1, 2001, are eligible to apply. For SC/ST/PwD candidates, the age relaxation is 5 years.
Number of Attempts: Candidates can appear for NEST maximum two times in consecutive years.
NEST 2026: How to Apply Online?

Step 2: Click on the "NEST 2026 Registration" link on the homepage.
Step 3: Enter your valid email ID and mobile number to create an account.
Step 4: You'll receive login credentials on your email and mobile. Use them to log in.
Step 5: Fill the application form with personal details, educational qualifications, and contact information.
Step 6: Upload your photograph, signature, and other required documents in the prescribed format.
Step 7: Select your preferred exam center from the available options.
Step 8: Pay the application fee through online mode.
Step 9: Review all details and click on "Submit."
Step 10: Download the confirmation page and take a printout for future reference.

NEST 2026: Correction Window
NTA has provided a correction window for candidates to make changes in their application form. The correction window will open on April 13, 2026, and will close on April 14, 2026.
During this period, candidates can edit their personal details, educational information, and other particulars. However, some fields may not be editable. Candidates should fill the application form carefully in the first attempt to avoid any issues.
