Abhirup Bhadra scored 698 out of 700 — missing a perfect score by just 2 marks across all seven subjects. It's the highest Rank 1 score in recent Madhyamik history.

Priyatosh Mukherjee came just 2 marks behind the topper with an outstanding score of 696.

A total of 131 students belonging to 19 districts were part of the top ten merit list in the year 2026. This was a very wide-ranging merit list comprising various schools from all over West Bengal.
