The West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) has released official guidelines for the WB HS Examination 2026. The board will conduct the WBCHSE Class 12 Supplementary Semester 3 and Semester 4 exams from February 12 to 27, 2026. Students appearing for the exams should read all the instructions carefully before the exam day.

The board will issue admit cards for Semester-IV and Semester-III Supplementary Examination 2026 in online mode only. School principals and heads of institutions can download and print admit cards from the official WBCHSE portal using their login credentials.

For students appearing under the Old System, admit cards will be distributed offline from designated camps on January 28, 2026. Students must note that entry to the exam hall will be allowed only with a valid admit card.

Items Allowed Inside the Exam Hall

Students can carry the following items to the examination centre:

  • Registration certificate
  • Blue or black ballpoint pen
  • Pencil, eraser, sharpener, and ruler
  • Transparent pouch for stationery
  • Transparent water bottle
  • Transparent clipboard
  • Analogue watch (not smart watch)

Note: Calculators are allowed only for students appearing under the Old System.

Items Not Allowed Inside the Exam Hall

The following items are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall:

  • Books, notes, or loose papers
  • Mobile phones or smartphones
  • Smart watches or health bands
  • Bluetooth devices or earphones
  • Cameras or any recording device
  • Pen drives or electronic pens
  • Bags or pouches (non-transparent)
  • Calculators (except for Old System candidates)
  • Any other electronic gadget

WBCHSE Class 12 Exam 2026: Important Instructions

Students must follow these guidelines on the exam day:

  • If a student forgets to bring the admit card on the first day, they may be allowed to sit for the exam after submitting a written undertaking. However, failure to produce the admit card later will result in cancellation of the examination.
  • Students must reach the exam venue on time as per the schedule. Parents or guardians can accompany students up to the main gate but must leave at least 15 minutes before the exam begins.
  • Students should read all instructions on the question paper, OMR sheet, and admit card carefully before starting.
  • All details on the answer script and OMR sheet must be filled correctly. The invigilator will verify and sign the answer script after checking.
  • Only blue or black ballpoint pens are allowed for filling OMR sheets. Gel pens and fountain pens aren't permitted.
  • OMR sheets should be handled with care. Don't fold, tear, wet, or make them dirty. No rough work is allowed on the OMR sheet.
  • Students can't appear for subjects that aren't mentioned on their admit card unless they have special approval from the authorities.

WBCHSE Class 12 Exam 2026: Bell Timings

The board has set the following bell schedule for the examination:

First Bell 15 minutes before exam starts
Second Bell At the start of the exam
Third Bell 5 minutes before exam ends
Fourth Bell At the end of the exam
