The Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) has extended its registration deadline for the 2025 exam to December 10. Interested candidates can complete their applications on the official website, xatonline.in. The registration fee is ₹2200. If you’re applying for XLRI programs, you’ll need to pay an extra ₹200 per program. Payments can be made online using credit/debit cards, net banking, or IMPS.

This year’s XAT comes with some key changes. For the first time, candidates can use scientific calculators during the exam. These will be available through the exam interface. To meet increasing demand, 34 new test cities have been added, including Anantapur, Muzaffarpur, Shimla, and Kolhapur.

Another major update is that the Analytical Essay Writing (AEW) component will now be part of the Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GD/PI) rounds instead of the main exam. The General Knowledge (GK) section has also been revised. It will now include 20 questions instead of 25, with 12 focusing on current affairs and 8 on static GK.

The exam is divided into two parts. Part One will last 170 minutes, while Part Two, dedicated to the GK section, will be 10 minutes. The total exam duration is 180 minutes. For more details and to apply, visit the official XAT website.

XAT 2025 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have completed a bachelor’s degree with a minimum duration of three years in any discipline. Final-year students can also apply. There’s no age limit for the XAT 2025 exam, making it accessible to a wide range of aspirants.
